What is Giving Tuesday all about?
Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving, fuelled by the power of social media and collaboration. #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season in November, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. Since its inaugural year in 2012, Giving Tuesday has become an international movement in over 150 countries that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy with events throughout the year and a growing catalog of resources. Launched in 2017, GivingTuesday Barbados is officially the 40th country on the GivingTuesday map. #GivingTuesday Barbados encourages small acts of kindness by donation of time, resources and talents to address local challenges.
#BajanGiving can mean many things to each of us and we hope to inspire individuals, companies and organisations to join our movement by giving to causes that are close to their heart.
HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED?
Anyone can get involved in #GivingTuesday Barbados and give back in a way that is meaningful to them. NGOs, Charities, groups, companies and individuals are all invited to come on board and help us expand the reach of #BajanGiving through your own campaigns. You don’t need to be a charity or NGO to be able to participate in #GivingTuesday Barbados and you are also welcome to join in on the projects that GivingTuesday Barbados is focussing on this year.

You are invited to participate in the projects that we listed or you can design your own!
GivingTuesday is a great way for NGOS, Schools, Churches & Community organisations to gain exposure, raise some funds, recruit new volunteers and a great opportunity to tell your #BajanGiving story.
